LAUREL & HARDY
Laurel and Hardy are regarded as the best comedy team in the history of filmmaking. They used a form of slapstick that portrayed them as naive, stupid and bumbling. They would get themselves intertwined into situations from which they could not easily escape and their perilous efforts to do so entangled them into even more trouble. As their films ensued, they became increasingly funny until reaching a dynamic climax at the end.
Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel were pursuing separate careers when they were convinced to join forces by Leo McCarey in 1926. The inseparable pair would make over 100 films, 27 of which were feature films, before it was all over.
